Wild Boar Adventures is a small, family run business specializing in guided Italian trekking holidays. All trips are personally guided by Duncan Boar, a qualified member of the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA).
Let us take you on an alpine adventure, away from the main trekking routes. We can offer you breathtaking scenery and summits, the possibility to see mountain wildlife and alpine flowers and an insight into the history of your chosen destination. Each trip is strictly limited to 10 people and therefore we are able to offer a personal and friendly service during your treks.
We can also offer advice on visits to local vineyards, museums & cultural destinations that can be reached during the free day, should you wish to experience more of the local culture first-hand. More details can be found in the section describing each of our trips.
We are in the process of arranging membership of the Travel Trust Association (www.traveltrust.co.uk) who will provide the necessary, and legally required, financial protection for your holiday (ABTA/ATOL).

Winter trips from December 2010 to March 2011 are now available! Come on a Snow Shoe Trekking holiday – No previous experience needed! Enjoy days out exploring the forests and mountains of Abruzzo. Experience the mountain life that the Artist Estella Canziani (1887-1964) documented in her book ‘Through the Apennines and the land of the Abruzzi’(1928). These quaint villages have more recently used to film part of the forthcoming thriller The American, starring George Clooney.
