Wild Boar Adventures was founded in 2007, by Duncan Boar, to offer ‘Outdoor Adventure’ to all.

From October 2008, you can visit Morocco, travelling via Marrakesh to ‘Jbel Sarhro’ and the Northern rim of the Sahara Desert. This adventure in Northern Africa, is hosted by local guides as well as myself. The local guides are able to enhance the cultural aspect of the trip and overcome any language difficulties. The trips to Morocco involve a variety of accommodation from Riads to hotels, to nights under canvas. They will give you a real flavour of what it is like to experience the Nomadic lifestyle of the Berber tribesmen. I can ensure that we make your adventure as enjoyable as possible and offer an insight into the environment of the region as well as history and culture.

I will shortly be able to offer other trips, off the beaten track and away from the regular tourist areas, thus offering you the best in realistic wilderness experiences.

Travel with me to Italy and experience the mountainous alpine region of the Valle d’Aosta. You can enjoy a multi day trek along part of the high level route - the GTA. For the more daring, we include a day out on a ’via ferrata’ route. Or why not visit Gran Paradiso - Breathtaking scenery, icy mountain glaciers and lakes and wildlife in the shape of Ibex, Marmot and Chamoix (to watch, not eat!) to name but a few.

Abruzzo is a high altitude area of central Italy that has many remote high pastures and plateau’s, once farmed by the ‘Contadini’ (peasants) who inhabited this breathtaking and remote landscape. There are several National Parks enabling me to offer you the opportunity to spot Marsican Brown Bears or Wolves. During the winter months you can come on guided snow-shoe treks of the forests where these animals roam, and learn about the folklore and legends of the region, staying overnight in confortable accommodation in rural mountain villages.

I also organise weekend breaks to the more remote areas of the United Kingdom, so please read the ‘Holiday Profile’ pages for further details of these trips and also the other trekking options available. Or feel free to contact me directly for more information.
